Hello

I was born in Mechanicsville, VA and lived there my whole life, but recently taking a chance and moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. All throughout my life I knew I wanted to be in business one day so thats exactly what I did. I am currently a second year marking major at Virginia Tech hoping to pursue a career in digital marketing. Previously I have completed one internship and three years as a lifeguard to obtain the working experience and skills such as teamwork, communication, patience, etc. When not doing school or working, I like to go to the gym everyday and am very passionate in watching sports and supporting the Baltimore Ravens. GO FLOCK!

    "Tell Me A Story"

All my life I have been seen as an outlier. My mom was born in Korea which makes me 50% Korean and my grandpa on my dad's side was born in Peru which makes me 25% Peruvian. I went to a primarily white school all my life and always felt like an outcast. Even in my friend group I was the only non white kid. I had very low self esteem all my life not only because I wasn't white, but the fact that I was overweight. My mindset from high school on has always been about change. I wanted to change my looks and my body, of course I could only change one. As I grew older I lost weight and started to become more comfortable with my self. My mental was skyrocketed and I finally had a little confidence. Once I got to high school I felt for the first time as not an outcast. I realized it's ok to be different even if you are the only one, and found a way to use that to my advantage. As a marketing major I realized how to incorporate diversity into my creative ideas and help give perspective to where others may not be able to give. The biggest lesson I learned is to love yourself no matter what because you can always find ways to use your differences to better yourself and your opportunities.
